At the age of 15, David experienced a Spinal Aneurysm, leaving him a T-6 paraplegic and a wheelchair user. His ability to overcome obstacles and to achieve success in the face of adversity is what makes his story inspiring and motivating to others.
David received his Master of Business Administration in Finance from Duke University and his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from The University of Wisconsin –Whitewater. His career path includes time spent in banking, finance, education and athletics.
David has spent nearly 25 years in education, including 17 years teaching at his alma mater, Marquette University High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. While at Marquette University High School, David taught Economics. He also served as the Director of Diversity and the Coordinator of Academic Support.
David’s basketball coaching career is distinguished. Highlights of his coaching career include serving under Hall of Fame Coach Mike Krzyzeswki at Duke University, coaching USA East Coast Basketball with coaches Frank Martin and Guy Rancourt and serving 11 years as the head coach at Marquette University High School, compiling an overall record 155-92. Most recently, David has served as an assistant coach at Concordia University in Mequon, Wisconsin.
As a business man, basketball coach and an educator, David has had the pleasure of sharing his story at corporations, high schools, basketball camps and clinics, and civic organizations throughout the United States.
